Our Supporters

Without a whole lot of people caring a whole awful lot, we wouldn’t exist today. Supporters like you have helped us transform a very simple idea, a plastic bag ban in the town of Crested Butte, into something much bigger: a grassroots community movement to protect our planet.

From volunteers who have shown up to Town Council meetings, washed dishes for waste-free events, and sewn Boomerang Bags, to individuals, businesses, and organizations that have supported us financially or with partnerships, every single goal we have accomplished has come as a result of a member of our community deciding to give their time or money (sometimes both) in service of our mission. They believe in our vision to accelerate Crested Butte and the Gunnison Valley’s transformation into a model of global environmental action.

Thank you to each and every one of you who has supported us.

Partners

Many local businesses and organizations in the Gunnison Valley have supported us through our early years. Whether they have contributed to our projects, used our waste-free event supplies, joined our campaign for a Straw-Free Gunnison Valley, boarded the Recycle Train, or given us space for our Boomerang Bags, they all have a part to play! Thank you to our partners:

Grants

In addition to support from individuals, businesses, and organizations, we have also received some municipal and foundational support in the form of grants. These grants have been instrumental in helping us launch some of our most important projects including Waste-Free Events, Boomerang Bags, and the Recycle Train. Thank you to our generous grantors including the Town of Crested Butte and the Rotary Club of Crested Butte.
